Law School Admission Test (LSAT)-India is a paper-pencil test conducted across the country by Law School Admission Council (LSAC). The test is conducted for admissions into postgraduate and undergraduate law programmes in various law schools in India. LSAT 2017 is to be conducted across 16 cities in India. LSAT exam pattern is such that aspirants have to attempt multiple-choice questions in duration of 2 hours and 20 minutes. In total 60 law colleges in the country accept LSAT scores for admissions into law programmes offered by them. The number of colleges accepting LSAT was limited to 50 till 2014. Registration for LSAT India 2017 can be done by logging on to the official website of the college at lsat.formistry.com. Candidates can download and fill the LSAT application form on the official website of the exam. To do this, aspirants need to register with an email ID which is to be used in further proceedings of LSAT exam. The registration fee for LSAT-India is Rs 3,800. The fee can be paid either online or via demand draft/pay order/ banker's cheque. Candidates are provided with a LSAT India registration number, on completion of the registration process. It is mandatory for all the applicants to mention that registration number while submitting the application forms for various colleges that accept LSAT scores. Read registration details here. Candidates must fill the registration number at the given place in the LSAT India application form of the associated colleges. It is important for all the applicants to fill the application form and thereafter submit the form and pay the application fee in the given time limit. Candidates not registering for the test timely will not be allowed to sit in the exam. Before appearing for the test candidates must check the LSAT eligibility. The eligibility criteria to appear for LSAT 2017 exam depends on the criterion mentioned by associated LSAT colleges. For any particular college, candidates must assure that he/she meets the eligibility criteria of the LSAT colleges. Failing to meet the eligibility criteria will not allow the candidate to ask for refund of the application fee for the test.
LSAT India 2017 exam pattern is divided into following four sections: Analytical Reasoning. First Logical Reasoning, Second Logical Reasoning, Reading Comprehension. The LSAT India exam pattern consists of around 92-100 questions to be answered in two hours 20 minutes. The test is in multiple choice question answer format where students have to choose one correct answer from four or five given options. LSAT exam pattern is such that candidates are given 35 minutes to attempt each section. After 35 minutes, a candidate has to wrap up one section and move to another. Marking: There is no negative marking in the exam. The official website informs. There is no negative marking or penalty for guessing. Only correct answers contribute to a candidate's score. Therefore, candidates should leave no question unanswered and guess on those questions they cannot carefully consider. The result or score for this law test is declared in the form of LSAT percentiles which is calculated after comparing each candidate performance with others in his candidate group. LSAT India scores define the critical thinking skills of a candidate as compared to other aspirants in his/her candidate pool.
As such there are no LSAT India eligibility criteria by means of which students can appear for the exam. Officials inform that aspirants only need to follow the published test rules for LSAT. Apart from this, aspirants need to register for the test and pay the test fee on time. Other than this, there are no LSAT India 2017 eligibility criteria to follow. Candidates need to fulfill the eligibility criteria (if any) as listed by the law college wherein they are applying for admission on the basis of LSAT exam. It is the responsibility of the aspirant to fulfill all the eligibility requirements of a college they are applying for before registering for the LSAT 2017 exam. If a candidate makes it to the merit list of the LSAT exam and thereafter it is discovered that the candidate does not fulfill the eligibility criteria of a desired college, then no refund of fee shall be provided. Age Limit: There is no age limit to appear for LSAT India exam. Candidates have to check the age limit as specified by individual colleges wherein they are seeking admission.
