The Karnataka Management Aptitude Test (KMAT 2017) is an all India level management entrance test and was started with the felt-need to have a single unified test for admissions in the state of Karnataka into professional courses viz MBA, PGDM and MCA. The eligible and interested candidates must follow the below instructions while filling the online application form for KMAT:
Name: Candidates must fill their name as mentioned in the school leaving certificate.
Nativity: Candidates must select on the appropriate option irrespective of the fact whether they are or aren't residents of Karnataka state.
Choice of Test Centre: Select your test Centre city from the list of cities provided. Kindly note that once the city has been selected changes will not be allowed.
Date of Birth: Enter the Date of Birth in DD/MM/YYYY format.
Applying for: Select on the appropriate category option, i.e., MBA or MCA
Stream: Applicants need to specify the stream/discipline in which the candidate has obtained graduation degree.
Address: Complete postal address and other communication details should be correctly mentioned in the space provided. Write your first name in CAPITAL LETTERS. Failure to write complete address might result in non-receipt of postal communication, if any.
Fees: Demand Draft (of rs 600) should be made in favor of "KMAT 2017", payable at Bangalore.
Candidates should keep a photocopy of the Application form and Demand draft as a proof of acknowledgement.
Test Fees; The registration fee for KMAT 2017 for MBA/ PGDM programme is Rs 600. Candidates need to submit a demand draft of Rs 600 drawn in favour of "KMAT 2017", payable at Bangalore. Thereafter one needs to enter. The Admit card of KMAT 2017 will be available for download on the official website two days before the test. Candidates are required to enter the details of application number and date of birth in the space provided to download the admit card.
The KMAT 2017 MBA entrance exam will consists of the following sections:
The KMAT 2017 exam consists of mostly objective type questions and contains different papers for MBA and MCA.
The MBA paper consists of 120 questions 40 each from language comprehension, mathematical skills and basic aptitude.
The MBA and MCA combined paper consists of 160 questions overall which is inclusive of 40 questions each of language skills, Mathematical skills, Basic aptitude and Logical Reasoning.
KMAT 2017 eligibility criteria is based on UGC guidelines: Candidates need to have Bachelors degree / Masters degree from any recognized education body in Commerce, Management, Arts, Social Sciences, Engineering / Technology or equivalent. Atleast 50% aggregate marks and 40% for SC/ST candidate.
Candidates will then be shortlisted on the basis on their performance in KMAT. The scorecards of the candidates will be sent to the colleges. The selected candidates who have qualified in KMAT need to report to their respective college to secure admissions.
