Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham conducts a national level Engineering Entrance Examination to candidates for four year B. Tech Degree programme. The University offers engineering courses at its three campuses which are located at Amritapuri (Kollam), Bengaluru and Ettimadai (Coimbatore). Candidates who satisfy the eligibility criteria for Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam will be offered admissions in the educational institutions, B.Tech programme through counseling, based on their ranks in the entrance examination.

Aspirants who wish to appear for Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam 2017 need to ensure that they perform the below mentioned tasks as per the exam schedule declared by the engineering institute-
Fill AEEE Application Form
Candidates can apply online for AEEE 2017 either by post, or by sending a demand draft. Apart from this candidates can even apply for the entrance exam online and pay the exam fee through Net banking. Candidates can request for the application form by post, by sending in a request to the Admission Co-ordinators of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore. However, in order to receive the application form aspirants need to put-in a written request indicating their full communication address along with a Demand Draft. University Counter of Amrita Schools of Engineering at Amritapuri, Bengaluru and Coimbatore on producing a DD, Designated branches of Post Office, Dhanalaxmi Bank Ltd. and Federal Bank where applications can be purchased on cash payment of Rs 1000. Aspirants need to download their AEEE 2017 Hall Ticket from the University website. They can download their admit cards by entering their Application Number and Date of Birth. Candidates need to note that no admit card will be sent to them by post.
Candidate will not be allowed to appear for AEEE without a valid hall ticket. In the Examination hall, each candidate will have to show their admit card as and when demanded by the invigilator. The admit card generated to candidates will contain the Registration Number allotted to the candidate along with the name and address of the Exam Centre of the candidate.
On the exam day, each candidate will be asked to sign the attendance sheet. Candidates need to ensure that their signature is identical with the one mentioned in their AEEE Application Form and admit card. During this engineering entrance examination, the left hand thumb impression of the candidate will also be taken for identification. Candidates need to note that after the AEEE result declaration also their thumb impression will be taken for comparison with the one taken at the time of the exam.
Candidates are advised to retain their AEEE admit card which has the invigilators signature. This needs to be done because candidates will be asked to produce this admit card at the time of AEEE counseling which will be conducted after the declaration of AEEE result. Any candidate who is not able to produce the same will not be allowed to sit for counseling.
Amrita Engineering Entrance Exam is conducted in two modes, which are- Computer Based Test (CBT), Paper & Pencil Based Test (P&P).
Candidates need to mention their preference in the application form of Amrita School of Engineering itself. However, they should refrain from selecting both the modes because on doing this their application ill stand cancelled.
AEEE 2017 exam duration: 2 hours 30 minutes. AEEE question paper will contain 100 questions and the candidates will be evaluated out of 300 marks.
The question paper bifurcation for this engineering entrance exam is as follows:-
Mathematics- 40 questions
Physics - 30 questions
Chemistry - 30 questions
For every correct answer in AEEE 2017, candidates will be awarded 3 marks and for every wrong answer one mark will be deducted from the candidate’s total score.
Candidates meet the eligibility criteria for AEEE 2017 if they fulfill the below mentioned pointers-
Age: The age limit for AEEE suggests that candidates are eligible to apply for the exam if they are born on or after July 1, 1994.
Educational Qualification: Cleared their 10+2 (class XII) or its equivalent while securing an aggregate of 60% marks in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry with not less than 55% marks in each of these three subjects ( OR ) A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education.
Note: Those who appear for the above examinations in March / April 2016 and expect to secure minimum marks as above may also apply. Aspirants are also eligible to appear for this engineering entrance exam if they have- A three year Diploma in Engineering with minimum 60% marks, awarded by any State Board of Technical Education or its equivalent.
Note: Candidates who have appeared for AEEE in March/April 2016 are also eligible to apply for the entrance exam. Seat allotment through AEEE Counseling will be based on the eligibility and rank obtained by the candidate in Amrita Entrance Examination - Engineering 2016.
