Uttar Pradesh State Entrance Examination (UPSEE) was conducted on April 16, 2017 (10 am to 1 pm), for aspirants seeking admissions to B.Tech programmes in the engineering colleges of the state. The entrance exam was conducted by Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, which is the exam conducting authority for UPSEE 2017. Nearly 1.80 lakh candidates were expected to appear for this state level engineering entrance exam. About 1.50 lakh engineering seats including around 4,000 government college seats at different technical institutes across Uttar Pradesh will be filled through this exam. The exam conducting authority will publish examination procedure for NRI and Kashmiri Migrant Quota seats in May, as per the norms laid down by the Government of UP/AICTE. Candidates, who fall under this Quota, need not to appear in UPSEE 2017.

UPSEE 2017 Application Form:
Application Form of UPSEE 2017 was available from January 15, 2017 onwards. Candidates could fill up the Application Form of UPSEE 2016 Online only till March 24, 2017, which was the last date for filling the application form.
Candidates belonging to General/OBC category have to pay Rs. 1,000, while SC/ST candidates, Physically Handicapped and Female candidates of all categories need to pay Rs. 500 as Application Fee for UPSEE 2017.

Fee for UPSEE 2017 examination can only be paid Online through Credit Card/Debit Card/Net Banking.
UPSEE 2017 Exam Pattern:
Exam Pattern of UPSEE held for admissions in academic session 2017-2018 is as follows-
A total of 150 questions were asked, including 50 from each subject- Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. Every correct answer carried 4 marks and there was no negative marking for wrong answers.

UPSEE 2017 Eligibility Criteria:
The subject combination required in the qualifying examination (intermediate examination of U.P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent) for admission to first year of different courses will be as follows-
Compulsory Subjects- Physics and Mathematics
Any one of these subjects - Chemistry/ Bio-Technology / Biology / Technical Vocational subject
For admission to first year of B.Tech., the candidates must have clearly passed intermediate examination of U. P. Board or 10+2 level examination or its equivalent from any recognized Board/University. They must have secured minimum 45% marks (40% marks for SC/ST Category candidates) without grace in each compulsory subject and one optional subject taken together.
Note: All candidates, who are eligible for admission in B.Tech courses, are also eligible for B.Tech. in Agriculture Engineering.
