BPEE 2016 (state level examination) stands for Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination Common Entrance Test. BOPEE has been constituted under the Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations Act, 2002, mainly for admission into diverse UG and PG courses in Jammu and Kashmir. BOPEE respects the merit secured by all the applicants. The Common Entrance Test (CET) is for selection of students for Medical and Engineering courses for the Colleges of J & K. In case of any complaint or clarification, the candidate must approach the Secretary of the BOPEE without any hesitation. At J&K BPEE CET, there is 50% of seat reservation for the open category. The other 50% is reserved for SC / ST / Socially and Educationally Backward Classes.

Indian citizens, who are domicile residents of J & K, are allowed to apply for J&K BPEE CET 2016. The candidate must have passed the 12th grade from a well-known Board / University. The elective subjects must have been English, Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. He or she must have obtained 50% marks in aggregate in 10+2 examination in case of open merit category and 40% in aggregate for reserved categories. The candidates who are about to appear for the 12th grade Annual Examination can also apply.
Entrance examination shall consist of three (3) papers of objective type questions for each group (PCB or PCM group). Each paper will have 75 questions, each of one mark. There will be 0.2 negative marks for each wrong answer. Subject combination, total marks for each paper and time duration is as follows: PCB Section Papers: 03 Subjects: Physics, Chemistry and Biology Marks: 75 Duration: 1 1/2 hours (75 minutes) PCM Section Papers: 03 Subjects; Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics Marks: 75 Duration: 1 1/2 hours (75 minutes)
The students must have passed 10+2 or equivalent examination from an affiliated board/university. He / she must have scored a minimum of 50% marks. The required subjects are English, Physics, Chemistry and Biology, as elective subjects in case of admission to MBBS, BDS, BVSC & AH, Physiotherapy, BUMS, BAMS, B Sc Nursing, B Sc Rehabilitation Therapy, B Sc Fisheries, B Sc Radiation Science, B Sc Operation Theater Technology, B Sc Medical Lab Technology and B Sc medical Technology courses.
